It might be your first Christmas alone, and quite sure it is your first Christmas in lockdown. Or it is an uncountable number of Christmas alone, and still your first one in lockdown. No matter what it is, it does not seem to be the best thing to face it coming.
So whether it is the first time for you, or you had that before, let’s see how this can be somewhat enjoyable for you anyways. First of all, and maybe most importantly, this year you can try to adopt a different behavior. Instead of suffering, trying to use the time, to make the best out of it.
And let’s face it: the combination of Christmas and the lockdown is basically giving you a lot of time, so let’s use it the best you can.
Why not starting with something that might seem to be a bit uncomfortable, but in the end, opens some opportunities for us. Let’s remove leftovers from your life. In all senses. Leftovers that are stored in your house, like clothes that you did not wear for years, furniture, that is basically only used as a wardrobe, memories, that do not serve their purpose anymore – to make us happy. Like leftovers from past relationships. And by saying this, I mean in our homes, but also in our hearts.
Are there some tears that you did not cry because you had to be strong? Is there some anger that you could not release? Is there some pain still sitting in your heart, that was too hard to face when it happened but now, it would be appropriate to let go?
This is your time. Why not use this year, this silent time, to make peace with the past and start into a completely new future, unloaded by the burden that we just kept without thinking, without reflecting, without learning, without letting go.
Let’s remove the negativity and bring some new life into our life instead. To make room for a new life, love, and abundance.
Lots of love.
