Self-Love Quick Tip
Life is busy, and you are too. Because you want to be something, someone; you want to get somewhere and reach your big goal(s). Which is good, because if you don’t want to stumble through your life, it is good to have a goal. A goal gives what you do meaning. But only heading after your goal will not make you happy, will not energize you, but burn you out. Why? Because you miss self-love.
Always remember that whatever you are up to, wherever you want to go: Once you arrive at your goal, the time you enjoy your success is about 5 minutes, 1 hour, or if it was huge, 1 day. Then it becomes the new normal. The long time period in the process of hitting your goal is the time you spend on a daily basis, the time you spend on reaching this big goal. But still, what many people usually do is: they risk it all for hitting their goal. They forget that it is about the way, not about the goal. Relationships break, burnouts happen, and still every day, people tend to get up and do the same. Over and over again.
Because they have given up so much to reach the goal. Because they need to achieve something, prove their worth. Forgetting that the only person to prove something to is themselves. And in fact, it is also the only person they will never need to prove anything to. Because they miss to understand that in life, it is about the moment, the now. It is about the way to the goal, and enjoying this way as much as possible. One life. One breath.
If you don’t have time, make a break. For self-love. For care. You would never leave your house without a look into the mirror. But so many times you leave the house without taking care about your soul. So especially in these times, don’t forget to connect with others, good, real friends. They will act like your mirror and show you exactly what your soul looks like. They are your soul mirror. And if you cannot see, ask. They have the outside look and therefore, see you better.
If you read this, this is for you: in honor to give yourself a life you dream of, that you deserve, in honor to self-love: take that time. Take that rest. You will not forget to get up and back. But especially in these times when we have a lot to carry, what you need is kindness and love for yourselves. And you can only give it to yourself when you allow space for yourself. So wherever you are and whatever you do, whenever you face an obstacle: Trust the process and relax! And love yourself a little more.
