The real reason you don’t have money

Or how to reactivate your internal cashflow pattern

Too many times I hear people saying: “But I don’t have money. I cannot do this, I cannot get that, I cannot invest in my life because I don’t have money.” And the stories they tell that caused the lack of money, which is coming with a great portion of anger most of the time, are real. Sickness, living in the least fortunate conditions, or simply struggles because of not knowing how to manage the money they have.

See, I had these troubles too for quite some time in my life. And the mindset behind was the one of greed. I said it. I am not a greedy person. But I was greedy with myself. Where did that come from? From teachings that I had learned in my childhood. Money does not grow on trees (no it doesn’t, money basically is the tree). You have to work hard. You need to save money. And there were so many more, I am sure you know them, you name your own. And deep down inside, I was always afraid that money I had would not come back if I spent it.

As you are following me or simply reading this, you are probably looking for more in your life: more money, love, awareness, happiness. And here is the hack: All these unconscious “manifestations” we were confronted with, are the root cause for money blocks. Why? Because they are just the opposite of abundance. Greed is not abundant. Lack is not abundant. Fear is not abundant. Let’s take an example: You might have heard the sentence “rich people are bad people”. Unconsciously, that sentence teaches you that once you are rich, you are a bad person. And now you are in a dilemma: rich or good, obviously you can’t have it both. Or can you?

Here is what’s going wrong in the mindset of greed and lack

In life, everything needs to be in a flow. Everything that comes to a hold is considered dead, because it lacks energy. Nature is a great example, let’s take a tree: if a leaf is dead, the tree let’s go of it immediately, so life energy keeps flowing through it completely. And it flows through a cycle of life every year: in spring, it grows leaves and fruits, nourishes others in summer and autumn and goes to rest in winter, to restart again in the next season. A perfect flow. And if that wasn’t clear enough now, “flow” is part of the word itself: CashFLOW. Money has to go out so it can come back in. If it would just come in, there is no flow. If it just goes out, there is no flow. Both are a dead end.

The cashflow pattern

A dear friend of mine, who is a great real estate investor, once said: “I rent the place I am living in. I am earning a lot of money by renting out appartements, so the least I can do is support someone else to cut their deal.” That hit me. There is a saying: >>You need to give what you want to receive.<< Renting your own apartment and allowing someone else to earn money on you, even though you can easily afford buying one, that is abundance. That is bringing “you need to give what you want to receive” to life. This is how CashFlow works. Giving with grace instead of anger, receiving with gratitude.

My friends, money is just an example, but this is how it works for everything: love, friends, happiness are just examples. If you don’t give love, it cannot come back. If you don’t invest money, money cannot come back. Here is the reversible proof: if you send out anger, anger will come back. The way you look at the world – no, the world is not looking back at you, it is worse – is the world you live in. Every day.

I understand that it is sometimes hard to live in abundance, especially when your life isn’t showing so much of it. It might seem like getting drained when giving love, though you are not receiving it. It is difficult to be happy for others when your life shows so little success. It is frightening to invest money when you don’t know how to pay your bills. But as long as you hold everything back, you prohibit the flow. And it will drop dead.

Is there a way to revive it? Of course. Here is my best example and a real life story of my own. When I moved to another country, the plants I had in my old apartment had to spend a long time without water, and apparently were completely dry and seemed to have no life at all. People told me to throw them away and not bring them to my new place. And I didn’t plan on bringing them, it just happened because I liked the pots and there was still space in the truck, so I took them. And because I didn’t have time to take care of the plants, I just put them outside on the terrace and let them there.

It took a while to arrange everything on the inside and the plants were left outside unattended in the cold, in the rain. Once the temperature got up a bit and the sun showed, I thought about taking care of my plants, thinking to remove everything and plant something new. But out there on the terrace, nature had performed the miracle: the plants were back alive, small leaves and greens came out of the soil, and the little tree had small sprouts.

This is how abundance works. You just have to give so little, and you get so much back. And you can always bring it back to life. As long as the root isn’t dead inside.
